I've had the occasional clunk or knock from the nearside rear of the car for the last few months, possibly once or twice a week. I've just had the aircon fixed and asked the garage to check the noise out. They said it was a bush in the roll bar and that they lubricated it (WD40) and it was fixed.

It now sounds as if there are a pair of teenagers going at it as if their lives depended on it on a creaky bed! Good analogy?

Any recommendations or suggestions (to fix the noise)? I am taking it back as soon as convenient, but would rather fix it myself if practical.

I had the same problem. WD40 will not sort it. Replace the bush.

What he said. I had this knocking for nearly a year. Had the bush replaced 6 weeks ago and not a peep since ears

I have/had this noise, hopefully rebuilding the suspension will cure it.
