Making a complete new dash in 10 hours
Discussion
I have just finished making a bespoke dash for my other halfs Ka Rally car. I know it is not a TVR but plenty on here have wondered about using GRP and changing the interior of the car.
The following pictures show just how easy it is to make a new dash using GRP. In 10 hours!
Step 1: Foam fun.
Cut old dash to leave a carcus with the mounting points and any features you wish to keep like the windscreen vents. Lay plastic sheet down to contain the foam. Then apply copious amount of PU expanding foam slowly!

Step 2: Shaping the foam
Get creative. Any mistakes can be erased using more foam.

Step 3: Making a hard shell with GRP. 3 layers of GRP are laid over the foam preformer. The GRP is best pre-wet in torn strips and laid over the foam.

Step 4: Fine tuning shape with filler. Further additions to the dash display area are also added at this stage once the strong shell has set.

Step 5: Trimming! Multi talented Spyschim trimmed the unit with Faux suede.

Now just needs the co-driver instrument panel and drivers STACK displays fitted.
