Shame to see a once gifted sportsman end up like this.

Lewis was never the sharpest tool in the box though. On the 1994 tour of the West Indies he decided to shave his head and then go sunbathing. Result : he missed the next match with sunstroke.

I always wanted Lewis to succeed in the international game, but ultimately his effective 'jack of all trades' county performances became a bit 'master of none' at Test level.
