you can see how easily the GTR could be turned into a good old Ozzie ute!

Ryan (Ezakimak) - would be cool to turn up at Summernats with a ute back / trayback on a GTR - the thought has crossed my mind.... would definitely get some magazine coverage... I'd be a bogun's hero!

No - I don't think that is the case...

You can see half the clip is still there - if it had come loose, the whole thing would be missing.
There is some damage right at the top rear corner of the RH side pod - that would not be damaged if it was an unsecured hatch problem.

I think this is rear impact which has caused the damage.

its true, rear hatch not secured. Whole thing flew off on the main straight, fortunately nobody else hit or hurt. Car is fixed already, with 2 additional locks (Aerocatch bonnet pin), so no chance to forget again.
