Please does any one have a replacement off side front shock absorber with spring
for a V8 290S 1991. The vehicle has a Koni 80 2617 shock absorber with a 11 1/4" spring.

I think you may struggle for a second hand one,and in any case if you got one its unlikely to be balanced with the one you already have.
You may have to go for a new front pair as a minimum though if you can stretch to it I would recommend you do all 4.
Gaz shocks are probably the most popular choice.
You'll need springs as well as they are shorter on the new shocks.

If you still have the original Konis and springs on your car, I expect they will all be very tired by now. GAZ are a good replacement.

In my humble opinion replacing just one corner is too dangerous as you could quite easily have unbalanced suspension

If you must use secondhand parts on the suspension at least change a pairsmile

I am pretty sure, You can have your shocks rebuilt by Koni, or buy new from them if they have stock. worth a phone call anyway. Make sure you do both at the same time.

Wot pies said at least two at a time otherwise the car might turn into a 'ditchfinder'
