1998 s40 bonnet catch

hi I wonder if anyone can help me my bonnet release has disconnected/snaped is there another way to release my bonnet? thanx

Has the plastic bit broken and come off the handle? (in the car)

If so, just pull the end of the cable.

its still attached to the lever. it seems like its come off at the other end. Thankfully its not urgent.

Oh...thought it would be the lever end because both me and my dad have V/S40's.

Both of our cars have the plasic bit on the cable snapped. (Basically means it comes off the catch sometimes and you have to just pull the end of the cable.)

Guess if it has come off the other end then you'll have to jack the front up, unsrew the tray and prod around with a long screwdriver. I haven't had to do this myself though.
