Speedweek on the Salt flats?
Discussion
was chatting to Mich over the weekend, anyone fancy a trip to the salt flats in Sept 09 when speed week was on? we were thinking of flying in somewhere a few days short of Bonneville, hiring something sport'ish then driving a bit across the US finding some roads en route, a bit like that TG programme

O that's how it works Hu you lot all get the flash motors and i have to
drive the Winne Bago
just so you lot can have a nice kip.
Well just remember I don't drink
and i'm an early riser so when you lot are all snoring away in ya bunks i will be doing a Clarkson with the Winne

Like Neil said we both thought that it would be a blastand whilst not trying to alienate our women folk a lads week only get ya names down and lets do it.

Just added the date of Speed Week 09 to the Events list for you... If you're going in September you'll be late... According to the website I found it's the week of the 8th to 14th August 2009.

Film is great the book of his life is even better

(sorry about the book being better than the film cliche) but in this case it really is that good the guy was just awe inspiring self taught engineer and a love of life and speed with the commitment to boot that few in this world will ever acheive
My book review 10 out of 10
Next months book review Bonneville: the Fastest Place on Earth
