He is a pustule stained horse hair merkin, and offends me only slighly less than Broon.
Hear Hear. His political affiliations and relationships should be put up as a "possibility of bias" warning evey time he is on the news.Still he's on my list, so come the glorious revolution.........

Is it me, or is he just regurgitating the bleeding obvious most of the time?
Yes, but he does it in that special drawl that only he can do.His speech flows seamlessly from high pressure verbal diarrhoea to an almost
constipated full stop, all within the confines of a sentence.
He also gives the impression of being supremely smug that he is the narrator of the present financial catastrope.
He makes me want to turn off the radio almost as much as the theme tune to The Archers.

I have to say that I dislike the bloke. Not only is rather slimy, there is no change there for media presenters, but he can make even a lottery win, sunny day and empty roads into some doom-and-gloom end-of-the-world story!
I do attribute some of the current media's fascination with the current crisis down to this man. I am not suggesting that he had / has any impact on it, but by starting with that style of reporting, ever other news outlet has tried to copy it - hence the downward spiral of media reporting that we now see....
Give me the facts, the details and the important bits. Not some self-publicising claptrap about why we are all going to be living in mud huts next year.....
Cock.

He is widely credited with breaking the Northern Rock Story. Had he not brought that into the public domain, they would have continued to fund, and may have found a way ouit of the mess they were in.Mr Peston's Sources are also very mysterious, and he is "supposed " to be getting info directly form no.s 10 & 11 Downing Steeet.
