Anyone got any really good Mince Pie recommendations? We need some good ones to try.

Every year in the office we have a mice pie competition to see which is the best. This is also based on value for money too, so the like of Harrods etc arent usually going to win. Last year Morrisons won.

We do the same, but we started about 3 weeks ago....and were all getting fat!

The tesco and sainsbury puff pastry ones are good.

Gregg's are good.

M and S are good, we have yet to try those lattice top ones.

Duchy Original Organic ones were dissappointing but by far the worst are Lyons.

Yes Duchy have gone downhill. We started last week so into our second week. So far Sainbury's Taste the difference are top followed by the Village Bakery Organic, as recommended by the times.

a couple of years back i did this with a couple of housemates. literally every different brand of mince was bought on sight, from the local bakers right up to the likes of fortnum & mason, harrods etc.

the winner by miles was from the local freezer shop - jack fultons. they were a quid for 6 and had wonderful dusted buttery pastry and a rich juicy filling. nothing else came near to them.

am trying to refrain this year. mince pie's are like pringles, once you pop, you can't stop!
