How much does everyone pay for AA/RAC membership?
Does everyone else go through the same thing every year of beating them down, after
you get the renewal notice?
I have 2 cars and what roadside, home start and relay.

I pay Auto Aid £36 a year for my wife and I for whichever of the stupidly high number of vehicles we have we happen to be driving, including recovery to home.
Used it this year and the bloke arrived inside an hour and recovered the Type 2 home from Snetterton. Top bloke.

Another vote for Auto Aid - lots of cover for very little money. Very happy with the service the one time I've needed them.

I pay < £90 for two cars with whistle and bells type cover. Never had a problem with them. They just sub out to the other breakdown firms.

IC Breakdown, amazingly cheap, I've had the car recovered twice, total miles on the recovery about 200, never any problems or arguments and the bloke always arrived within the hour and was extraordinarily careful loading the car. I really can't recommend them enough.

I have just moved over to HSBC Plus which includes breakdown cover in any vehicle I drive <15 years old. But there is one clause that says no breakdowns within 400m of your house but as an enthusiast/self mechanic I think I can deal with that. Not sure if the other carriers have this same thing.
