Not Quite A Witness To A Shooting!

On my way home from work, I stopped off for a bacon sarnie, parked up behind a security van, got sandwich, returned to car, nodded to security guard, drove off.

Moments later, one of the guards got shot and the money stolen. I didn't see that, but my better half is saying that I should at least make a statement to the police, but I didn't actually see anything/anyone so don't think it's worth bothering!

Just wondering what the collective masses of PH thought.

I really can't see what use your statement would be, assuming it would be along the lines of "I saw him before he got shot and he looked fine".

best to at least speak to the police, even just to let them know you were in the area before someone goes " i saw a car drive away from the scene" and your mugshot ends up on Crimewatch!

It was this morning!

I've been on nights so stopped off for a Sandwich on the way home, usually sit in the car and eat it but drove off today so didn't know about what had happened until my missus mentioned it at tea time!

Might pop over to the cop shop in a few mins.

I have just reported a car that was been driven like a bat out of hell just after the this shooting, driving on the pavement to get round other cars, cutting cars up. it was about 1/2 hr after and also bloody cold morning to have you window open!

Best to have a word with the BIB, if only so your vehicle can be eliminated from the crime scene.

Best take a few packets of cigarettes with you. They're used as currency in prison and will hold you in good stead.

just up the road from my house, the car drove on the pavement to get around traffic that was turning right onto bolton road he had came from livsey branch road.
