After watching tonights documentry, 15 years after the murder of Jamie Bulger, that I cannot understand why the child murdering kants Robert Thompson and Jon Venables, are still yet to be killed.
These child molesting murderers should have their faces stoved in with a house brick until they drown slowly to death in their own blood.
The fact they have been released, let alone had their identities changed, along with police protection at tax payers cost, is disgraceful.
The 'justice' system should feel ashamed.
If I saw them in the street I'd run them down. It would be worth the 40 hours community service sentenced to me.
10 years old or not, there is no excuse for what they did, and no excuse for them getting away with it.

While I agree with your views, our judicial system is base on rehabilitation so once you've done you time and deemed no longer a threat to society your entitled to be released to contribute to society.
But, in order to make that possible they need new identities. Since we live in civilised country we have to operate these kind systems based on rehabilitation.
This can be difficult accept if you don't believe in rehabilitation, so I understand your anger

Thats a calm and considered view, and I do agree with you that it is possible for some people to be rehabilited...but maybe not everyone, and there are certainly some who just shouldnt be given the opportunity. But, in order to make that possible they need new identities. Some are just born evil I guess, or are not taught the difference between right or wrong early enough.
In terms of them being deemed no longer a threat...this guys a dead ringer for Thompson, regardless of what the authorites say:

hey I didn't say it was right for them to be released just that's how system works for us. But what I will say is they have be throughly evaluated before release. We should all realise that they were only ten years old, so they have spent more than half their life in the system getting treatment. I don't beleive you are born evil, but it's something you become due experiences in your life usually negative. I have to say their parents and relatives should shoulder some of blame for their actions. I haven't forgotten about the poor innocent victim and his family, they must be exstremely distraught about the whole situation. I would imagine the two lads that commited the crime are reminded regularly about the events that occured, may even feel haunted by them. So don't think that they are thinking 'hey we have left prision now let's party' they are probably worried about public getting hold of them in the street, and more importantly wether or not they can actually lead normal lives
I'm not trying to take sides, but merely trying to explain all sides best I can
P.S. Writing this on a phone so may not read well

sorry, i didn't intend to come across as if i was havin a pop at you. I just don't believe any amount of rehab/re-education can account for what they did. They should have been legaly slain when they became 18, they could have had 8 years in which to prepare themselves for thier execution.I'm not trying to take sides, but merely trying to explain all sides best I can

I didn't take it that you were having a go. I can understand your anger, your brain/personality is not fully developed at 10 years old. So while they have held accountable for there actions there amply opportunity to correct/educate people. I think it's fair to say we are losers in this situation. Nobody wins everyones wishes are compromised.
I know what your going to say next 'if we get rid of them then surely everyones a winner'. But that goes against the principles of a civilised society... See the dilema!

sometimes pistonheads reminds me of the sun/mirror.
UK is a civilised nation, no death penalty, rehabilitation/protection of society is more important the revenge.
a 10 year old child while able to understand the difference between right and wrong, is not mature enough to fully understand the consequences of their actions.
I threw a brick at my friend at that sort of age, I also chased someone with dog sh#t on a stick, neither of which I would consider doing now.
The act that they committed was pure evil, the two kids who did it were young and deserve a chance

I don't know why children are always held responsible for the actions of the adults in their lives. Murdering children that murdered children is hardly the action of a modern, civilised society. The two children who murdered Jamie Bulger had been let down by all the adults in their lives at all times.
If you want revenge, why not take it out on the adults?

I'm not buying that... They knew what they were doing was completely wrong, if you read about the events of the day the consistently lied about who he was, what they were doing and where they were going. The actions you described were impulse reactions, throwing a brick and chasing someone with poo on a stick. This pair of demons KNEW exactly what they were doing and spent most of the day with him then tried to hide what they had done and afterwards. All of this shows they knew what they were doing.
They may not have understood the consequences as such, but they sure as s
t knew what they were up to was wrong.horton said:

Unfortunately, the voice of reason and understanding is drowned out by the baying for blood.
Didn't know the consequences of what they were doing my 'arris! I have two children, both younger than they were at the time, and there is just no way they'd consider doing what those two evil scroats did to a stuffed toy let alone a living thing.
Sorry, but I'm firmly on the side of 'they should no longer be living'.

My son was the same age as Jamie Bulger when he was murdered by those evil pair.
They new exactly what they were doing when they took him on that torcherous route. They admitted later that they had planned to take a young child to harm.
They beat him, threw bricks, stones and paint at him, then as a final act of brutality, they left him on a railway line to be cut in half by a train.
At some time in the future I'd like to see newspaper headlines telling of the brutal death of the pair of them.
