04/05 Gallardo

Mng Chaps ...... thinking about taking the plunge and buying a G in the next 2/3 months ....budgetry limitations (around 60 odd ) seem to put me in very good 04 / good 05 teritory......(will be buying the car to enjoy it ......not worried about the depreciation) .....idealy I will be looking for a manual .....now here comes my question .....I LOVE verde ithaca, but cant seem to find any UK Gs in this colour (have seen a couple of SLs ...but out of my price range) ....does anyone know if there any around?

I don't think there were any verde cars in 04/05. IIRC it only became an option from the 06MY onwards.

I've never seen one in that colour, that age in the UK , good luck on finding the Holy Grail or should that be Holy Grape.

ahhhh ...that could explain my problem .......mmmmm do i stick more of the kids savings down for a newer model??.....decisions decisions .....

06MY was an uprated version which IMO is considered to be a better package - might be worth paying the extra?

Even then I can't remeber hearing of any 06 onward verde cars either I'm afraid! The first Gallardo I saw in verde was P1's Spyder at MPH this year.

Just out of interest what were the mechanical changes put into the 06 cars from when the car was actually new. There must have been quite a new niggles on all new design. The clutch issues are well known, just wondered about the rest. Im sure someone on here said about 70 mechanical changes on the SE from the previous 'standard' car.

+20bhp, quicker e-gear box, and I think some suspension changes. Also much larger range of colours and options, Callisto rims etc.
