Heater Matrix Problem?

Over the recent weeks, I seem to loose a little cooling fluid everytime I take the car (MK1).
Also, when the car is cold, (5 min after starting)the car mists up inside - thick clouds of mist are coming out of the air vents. This lasts for a couple of seconds only.
I have put fairy liquid on the windscreen to avoid the windows from misting up as much as possible.
Steve Williams has done a quick pressure test on my cooling system but did not found anything wrong.
I never had this problem with my previous MK1's. The windscreen would mist up but never to such an extend, and I never had actual "clouds" enetering the car.
Could this be a problem with the heater matrix? If so, anyway I could test this. The car has still a 5 star AA warranty on it.

not a 5 min job, but not impossible for DIY - just takes some patience (Battery out first etc).

Ive just bought one for mine, but not fitted it yet. Have seen lots of positive posts about this guy.
