DC5 Power Steering

Can anyone tell me whether the DC5 steering hydraulic or electric?

Good question. I believe hydraulic, but as the EP3 has electric and they share the same chassis, don't hold me to that.

Either way, it feels 'artificially weighted', and isn't a patch on the DC2's.

This is what I was getting to.........so would the DC5 hydraulic steering rack fit in an EP3?

Some of the previous (recently replaced) Accords had electric racks, some had hydraulic, although the Civics all had electric.

Whether that means there is easy interchangeability is anyone's guess!

Whatever the case, don't do what some people do and kill the assistance to the electric rack- it doesn't improve feel one bit (obviously) and renders the car pretty dangerous on the road.
