Thread viewing number

I'm sure this question has been asked before, but i will ask anyway! One of the things i love about other forums is they give the number of times a thread has been viewed. Is it possible to add this very informative feature?

This is something that we will find hard to implement at the moment due to the load it places on our servers (it is the way the databases are structured at the moment). We are moving to a new server architecture in the new year which means that implementing this is possible (along with rolling out the classified view system too).
