Hello everyone,
I've just added my details to the 'owners list' and thought I'd take the opportunity to introduce myself.
I had been looking for a second 'fun' car for a little while (originally a classic Alfa spider but at 6'2" I didn't fit!) when I chanced across a magazine artical on the S series and it seemed to fit the bill perfectly, I fitted comfortably, classic looks, cheap insurance, open topped and a V6 engine I could work on/tinker with myself.
I joined the TVRCC in September 2007 and my hunt for an 'S' began. thankfully I quickly discovered this excellent forum and began to learn about the numerous things to look out for in buying one of these stylish cars.
Needless to say I looked at a lot of cars and soon realised it would be hard to stop the 'heart ruling the head'
Eventually though I found 'the' car, it didn't have a perfect chassis (but not a bad one either) or perfect paintwork (yes it is a bit stone chipped) but somehow this one felt right and had a very comprehensive history (original purchase order, actually for an S2 but by the time the factory completed the car some months later the S3c was available and offered at the same price, original bill of sale, all old Mot's, tax discs etc.....). The deal was done, almost one year after my search began and i'm the proud owner of a Sapphire Mica Blue S3c (decatted) with a magnolia interior. hopefully pictured below.

My 'to do' list on the car grows faster than I can tick things off (sorted the dropping door hinges already, took ages but very satisfying) but I like to think thats all part of the TVR ownership experience.
Its taken me a while to get around to posting this ramble (moved house, young family, the usual excuses) and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their imput to this forum. I suspect there are a lot of other potential owners out there who benefit from it without necessarily having anything to post.
So thanks again and please try to be patient if I post more questions than answers!

Hi Martin,
To add your details to the 'owners list' just click on the owners list tab at the top of the forum and then when it opens click 'update this article'. Find a free space in the list (V8 or V6) and add your details. It looks a bit tricky at first but just follow the example of others in the list as to where to fill in each detail.

Great looking car Stuart, welcome to the forum & the world of S's
Judging by your occupation you'll not have a problem if/when the veneer goes on your dash!
Don't worry that Dave cannot shpell - as he said .....
And Dave, stop putting us under pressure by bigging up SCH09 - we're not even in 2009 yet!!!!
Cheers,
Longers
