What bike? £300
Discussion
i have around £300 to spend on a bike, im after peoples opinions on what would be best suited to my needs!
i will mostly be riding trails, toe paths and the like and i only want a hardtail so no full suspension bikes please, i dont want to be having to start changing things on the bike so i would like a well rounded spec.
thanks
pete

cant see you getting much better than http://www.evanscycles.com/products/gt/outpost-200... or http://www.evanscycles.com/products/scott/aspect-6... or http://www.evanscycles.com/products/specialized/ha... whichever of those three you get is personal preference they are about the same in terms of components. the specialized will be heavy, for some reason cheaper specializeds always are but they are bombproof. it also has the shortest forks which will make light trails and tow paths easy work.
thanks for the replys guys!
i am truely baffled by the choice at this price range
although i have just found this http://www.bikes2udirect.com/B1709.html?id=VyggLWA...

it was supposed to have come with rock shox J2's but mine have come with dart 3's instead!! i have had a little look around and the dart 3 are a little dearer but are there many differences? are they a better fork?

i do have a sore ass but what can i expect after being off a bike for so long!! (moto x bike seats are ssooo much comfier)
me and a friend went riding around the irwell between swinton, farnworth and bury and it felt fantastic, the brakes are now bedded in nicely and working faultlesly even tho they are a little noisy when wet (i can live with that), i am gonna have to get some chain gaurd stickers as i have started taking chips out of my frame
overall, well pleased
