Keep on getting these razor bumps ( ingrowing hairs ) after shaving on the neck area. I used to use a gilette fusion razor however, I have just converted to an electric shaver ( Braun ) and have used a couple creams like oilatum and moisturiser (ghey?).

However the bumps have not gone completely and are still there a little.

( I know all the usual tips like hot water, going with grain etc )

Thank you.

Oh and does anyone know of any creams that actually work?

Exfoliation (Very Ghey) is good at preventing in-growing hair, do it twice a week or so.

Go to a beauty parlour and ask advice. Exfoliation will indeed help. Also an excuse to let some 20 year old totty give you a rub down!! LOL

A lot of the problem can be blunt blades. Also make sure when you do get a rash you don't shave over it again, try to let things calm down. Which can be difficult if you don't want to end up looking like Grizzly Adams!

I do exfoliate but tbh it doesn't make THAT much of a difference.

How often do you do it, and what do you use?

There was a lad a work that got an ingrowing hair on that bit between your bum and your balls (I'm sure there is a fancy name for it... your breadbin I think I've also heard it called)

Anyway, it caused him no end of problems - had to have an op, then that kept getting infected and he couldnt sit down.

But he was a gobby tt anyway.

Sorry can you tell I've just suffered the wrath of christmas shoppers!

I've calmed down now.

To the OP - very sorry to hear you are suffering - but be thankful they arn't ingrowing on your breadbin too!

That would be a pilonidal sinus then. Hurt like buggery. I had the same but at the bottom of my back/top of my arse. Had an ingrowing hair i didnt know about, then all of a sudden i have an absess which has burst, a blue light trip to hospital, surgery, 3 days in hospital and 12 weeks off work / light duties!

Not nice, and had to have a district nurse come round and dress my wound every day for 3 weeks! Bared my arse to more women in 3 weeks than in several years previous!

Bugger me, so you can

The only problem I can see would be having 70% proof alcohol around the place without blindness occurring.

Have to admit I'm fascinated by the OP's predicament.

-When you squeeze said ingrowing thingies, what comes out? -A big thick hair? Pus?

God, I'd be squeezing the feckers until I looked like Freddie Kruger. I'm a squeezer you see. Have to squeeze every blackhead and spot I witness. Mostly they're not mine either seeing as my skin is largely clear.
