Hi guys can anybody help?!
Went out last night for a chinese meal, on the way to drop girlfriend off in St Albans I had a bit of a blitz through the Hatfield tunnel, noticed a green volvo gaining on me, looked to see if it was police and could see no sign of anything.....WRONG!!
Got me on camera at 100+ and then 93 on the A414 pulled over when flashed at which point I messed my pants!!
Had a chat admitted that I was a T*at and was breathalised as had been out for aforementioned meal.
Passed breath test and he had a look around the car etc told him I had just bought it etc....He let me off but said that my details would be recorded on the police computer and if I get nabbed again in the next twelve months they have the right to seize the car sell it at auction and keep the proceeds for the government pot...any views on this? Maybe madcop will know?
Incidentally if the policeman happens to be a PH'er then I am eternally grateful to you for not nicking me!

Sounds like he was just frightening you.......If the car isnt registered to you he may have had a temporary PNC report to show that you in fact own the car now but thats as far as it will go.
Seriously though, you were very very lucky as im sure that you appreciate.
I would take this as a warning and be EXTRA careful in future.

I think he was probably trying to put the sh1ts up you. It certainly doesnt sound right. Sounds like a good alround guy.
I was once followed for about 8 miles by 4 largeish chaps in a dark unmarked cavalier, they were about 2 feet from my bumper at one point so I absolutely booted it along somw dual carriageway ( a small part of which was a 30 zone but had barriers on both sides and proper central reservation), the blue lights came on. I pulled over to recieve one of the biggest b*******ings of my life. Was told I'd entered a 30 at 92 (pretty sure that wasnt true) would lose my license, fine, court etc etc etc. I just ate humble pie & looked depressed.
Never heard any more about it! That was about 5 years ago & It did teach make me think about my driving a lot.

lucky escape mate - similar thing happened to me this month, cop didn't bollock me, gave me a 'dissapointed in you' sort of ticking off, then rambled on about bloody great engines in his corvettes, complimented me on the car and sent me on my way...
Given I was doing 120+ at the time I was rather relieved.
As the guy who stopped me said, take this one as a warning! I certainly did, 100+ is for VMAX days at Brunters (and probably france / germany / italy etc!)
