i don't know what size race suit i am, and dont really want to dick around with mail order, so would like to go to a shop to get the right size etc.

does anyone know somewhere in the huntingdon/peterborough area that I could go to try this at?

hello mate

cheers for the offer

sounds like a good offer, but my problem is that I have no clue what size I am. do you know of a shop in the area that has them in there for me to try on?

cheers

Gran Prix Race Wear at Silverstone is probably the nearest?

Fair enough - not convenient at all :-(

I may well end up down in Chiswick later in the week so might nip into GPR there

A Sparco size 58 suit is suitable for someone 6'.0" - 6'.2" tall, weighing 14 to 15 stone, with a 44"/46" chest, 39"/40" waist with 44"/46" hips!!

I'm 6' and used to weigh 16+ stone when I bought the size 60 suit and it had room for more. I'm sure it will fit. You're only 15 minutes up the road and it may do the job.
Otherwise go to the Autosport show at the NEC in January or get a custom made suit from Freem for about £600+

You have convinced me to come and have a try...if you don't mind!!

Whens best for you?

I am thinking the 60 would probably be best! What sort of condition is it in??

Just out of interest, how have you done the sponsor's logos? Are they patched on to the suit?

Cheers

My name is on the belt which can be taken off. 'Jet&Helicopter' is embroidered on the chest and again across the back. Both can be removed. It also has Dunlop patches on the sleeves and breast. The suit has been used for about 16 race meetings but only worn whilst driving. It cost about £650+ when new. I lost 3 stone to get the ballast down and it's just too big now.

Call me on 07734151133 if you want to come and look or I can send you a pic if you give me an address.
