wife goes out to start the x5 to get rid of all the ice on the screen, then gets "HER" 2 bassett hounds and puts them in the car.
5 mins later she comes storming in the bedroom telling me in her best simpering voice that little delila has got out of the back of the car and trod on the button to lock the doors!
armed with a tin of "chip shop style mushy peas" i set about the passenger window after belting the glass a few times the bloody tin burst all over the side of the car and on my bare freezing feet! next its a brick ,straght through the glass cutting my poor hand .
I am stood there with a brick in my hand with my legs covered in green ste and a bloody hand witha car full of glass, freezing my tits off,at which point my wife dives in car and drives off.
and i'll bet one off "her" dogs had a little wee wee in the car!.
spare keys? no ,they got chucked out months ago.

So let me get this right. There are 3 partys involved in this saga

The dog who locks himself in a nice warm car

The wife who doesn't know where the spare keys are for the car

The husband who also doesn't know where the spare keys are and decides to resolve the problem by attacking the car with a can of peas

And your calling the dog the stupid one

Darron, when breaking glass consider area/pressure and the hardness of your implement. (no not your cock) but a can of peas is a pretty blunt, soft object for breaking something like glass.

Do you have a hammer and chisel? When she gets home later in the X5, try it on one of the other windows and let us know how you get on.

i was amused by the stupidity, and able to laugh along with the OP rather than vent my anger at him for being stupid.

there are some weird reactions on this thread.

we've all done stupid things, sometimes with amusing results. Most of should be able to laugh at these, even if it takes a while.

Surely this behaviour should be expected from an X5 owner?

Having watched the RAC break into a contractors passat, after he locked the keys in the boot, I had to admire the skill of the guy.

I think he had a manchester accent, if that's relevant.

......I thought he was going to use them to entice the dog to unlock the door.........my cat's love em!!

Surely the internet will tell you a way to get into said x5 without a window smash. Although i know someone who's lad locked himself in his s3 in similar circumstances and police and everyone were there! The owner did not want to smash the window as he told them he did not want to cut his lad, but secretly told me it was cos he thought cripes a new window for an s3 will be a bomb, so they all waitied till locksmith arrived and in 20s he was in, undamaged! cue bill for £190 for locksmith....

He was gutted when I told him new genuine audi glass for big front side window is £27 from the dealer!! LOLOL

I was wondering why he didn't call the RAC.

Engine running you say? Then the windows will be live. I'll be in that car in 20 seconds without putting a scratch on it.

I have to get into customers locked vehicles most days and very few are difficult.

I do the above mentioned job, by the way (but without the Manc accent).

Couldnt you just have shot the windows out? I thought that all X5 drivers were drug dealers and subsequently carried guns...?

Laughed out loud at the mushy peas bit though! :-)
