Tuscan hedlight conversion Info only please, no slating

I have won some tuscan pods from SPautomotive on ebay. they are pods only no lights and are the 2 lighgt style with no sidelight.

Where can i get the light units/rings from, for a good price. Sp automotive are coming back to me with a price on the lights etc but i want to do some shopping around as money is tight this time of year.

Has anyone else gone this route (by pods only then source the lights afterwards)

i have seen ebay selling some sealed beam light bulbs for a tuscan, they look like the light unit rather than a bulb but ium not sure :

Also need the locating rings. Very hard to get although leven have some i believe.

I might be reading your post wrong, but aren't you mixing up the two kinds of Tuscan?

You've bought pods like the ones on this Tuscan:


But the eBay link you've posted is for lights for a old-style Tuscan, like this:

yes sorry i have bought the new style tuscan light pods. i didnt know there was an old skoll tuscan.

so leven for the locator rings, but where for the lights?

I've got a set of Hella light pods, with locating rings, plus a set of HID ones too. I'll dig out what I've got with pics if you're interested?

I didn't buy them for this conversion though, so may need some help to make sure they would be suitable.

the pods i am having are without the sidelight hole (3rd hole) apparently i need a 90mm light off a T350 which has the sidelight and main beam in one and another 90mm light off a tuscan which i presume must be full beam, to complete one pod.

Does anyone know which lights from what? ie the bottom one from a t350 and top one from tuscan etc.

Also will the cerbera hedlight plugs fit onto the new tuscan/t350 light unit's or do i need to get to the plugs and some wire too

Hey, got your email, was going to reply when I got pics. Just moved and everything is in boxes but managed to dig them out last night, just have managed to get round to finding the camera, will sort it out tonight though. The lights I have are, IIRC, 90mm pods, but I guess it depends on how they mount, etc. Will see if I have any pics on my Photobucket account.

The ones in the pics won't fit into the "upgrade pods".

They will at least need to be modified or may not work at all.

The ones used on mine look nothing like those.

The HIDS I got have a different housing, they don't have that grey bezel around them. I'll have a look tonight to see if that bezel is detachable. Also, if I'd thought about it my Cerb has the lights converted so I could have just looked at what mine are like!

This Xenon set was bought as an ex-display set from premier wiring (http://www.premierwiring.co.uk/). Have had a go at taking off the grey bezel and there does seem to be any obvious way of doing this.




This is the HID pair. You can see a little lever poking out the side, which I guess is either for dipped beam or for switching LH/RH? These were bought on eBay and I believe the advert said they were off a Porsche? The come with ballasts.

The lights are just Hella units. Im sure there used on a lotus??

Ah ok, I didn't think there were too many different 90mm pods floating around so thought they might have been some use. Ah well, will stick them up on eBay or something.

The supply ran out i was told. However you can get some from Leven or clevor trevor.

However at over £20 each! For a small ali ring.....

is it just a flat shaped metal circle with holes through it for screwing the lights to? any pictures of one, either home made or purpose built?
