I was at a show in Orlando last week, when I noticed a guy riding round on a sort of motorised wheel chair. Attached to the back of it was a sign that read:

My other car is a TVR. This is more reliable.

Not really what you expect to find in an exhibition dominated by all-A-merkin dragsters and oval racers!

I had a chat with him and it turned out he had a 2500M. Hello again, if it's anyone on here. wavey

I was at Orlando a couple of years ago and was amazed at the numbers of obese individuals using these vehicles and ordinary wheelchairs to get around.

Nah, this guy was fairly normal sized. It is a HUGE show as well. Think a couple of times the size of the BMS - my feet were aching at the end and I'm a relatively athletic twenty-something.

Was interesting to visit the states for the first time. The Americans (well, Floridians), on the whole, seem to be really lovely people. Also most of them, at least in my age group, are thinner and better looking than us. However they seem to come in two groups and there were a small but idenitifiable minority (usually older) who fitted the less favourable Southern stereotypes perfectly. For example, a couple of people didn't understand why my South African colleague wasn't impressed by their complements on his country's historical treatment of the black population. rolleyes

On the whole though, the people and the country were both nicer than in London...

Canadians are lovely, nothing like Americans, but don't ever call a Canadian an American or you will see their nasty side. hehe
