Anyone know about CCTV systems? HELP!

For reasons I won't bore you all with, I had to install a CCTV system at my place over the weekend. I got a mate along who runs a security firm and has a reasonable level of experience in things like this.
We got the 4 wireless IR cameras up and powered. We then setup the multiplexer and the 4 separate receivers in the house. One had a great picture, 2 had average pictures and the 4th was s
t. The problem I have is that there's awful bloody interference on the TV and I keep getting 'LOSS' on the various cameras. When this happens, an alarm goes off on the multiplexer and the whole bloody things beeps away until it drives me mad and I switch the whole lot off. Not quite the desired effect.
Does anyone know a lot about these sort of things? If you're within range of north Wiltshire there's some cash in it if you can come and get the fking thing working properly
