Im after a pair of silencers for a chevy big block which need to comply with MSA noise regs (110DB iirc).

I'm currently looking at a pair from jetex for around £100 each.

Anyone able to point me in the direction of any other alternatives? (needs to be 3.5" bore)

cheers

I've been using Jetex (Simons) 2.5" stainless steel packed 'straight-throughs' for 7 years behind my (originally L36 427) 489 cu in BBC - have never had any issues with noise complaints - don't know if they comply wih anything though. I initially chose them because they were virtually identical in appearance to the stock mufflers on my Vette.

I used Jetex boxes (aka Simons) to build the system on my thundersaloon (403ci smallblock, 700bhp, revs to 8400), and use two boxes each side to achieve a 100dB(A) result. One is a long cylindrical box about 18" long, the other is an oval about 10-12" long. Did the job.
