Good quick breakfast
Discussion
What would you say is the best quick brekky to have in the morning, Im looking for something thats quick to do but tasty and not too much bother to make as I CBA and dont have the time in the morning.
(Yes I know Im on PH in the morning, but dont start work till later than normal today :P)
Its been just a redbull and a cup of tea till lunch time for a few weeks now, but thats annoying me a bit now as im always hungry getting to work.
no cearal, dont like it and toast is too bland:/

Wow, if it's that bad then maybe break yourself in slowly and switch to a smoothie?300ml milk
1 banana
couple of ice cubes
handful of oats (I add these for slow-release carbs to keep you going for longer)
Literally 2 minutes plus 30 seconds to rinse the liquidiser out.
That's my favourite but you can endlessly tweak it with different fruits to suit your tastes. Some people add sweeteners (honey, sugar, dulce de leche) but I don't find it necessary personally.
Ooh, here's another one. Cranberry butter!
200g butter (at room temp)
150g cranberries
Couple of tablespoons of icing sugar
Blitz the lot and spread it into a rough sausage shape on a sheet of greaseproof. Roll it up and twist the ends of the paper like a christmas cracker. Stick it in the freezer overnight to set the shape (then you can store it in the fridge). I make a batch of this about once a fortnight and it's delicious if you cut a slice off and let it melt onto a toasted muffin. It's a great standby option if you really can't be arsed one morning.
Takes 3 minutes to toast the muffin, in which time you'll have made the smoothie and carved yourself a slice of cranberry butter.

1) Muffins
2) Crumpets
3) Scrambled egg in the microwave takes 3 minutes tops (2/3 eggs beaten, pinch of salt, fresh black pepper, splash of milk, and a knob of butter) - 2 batches of 1 minute blasts and then 3 20 second blasts with mixing in between is nomally enough. Drop onto toast with a nice squirt of brown sauce to finish it off.
4) Marco Pierre White's method of a bacon sarnie - 2/3 rashers of bacon in the microwave for 3 minutes. Nice fresh bread, buttered. Works a treat.
5) "Pan O Chocolat" makes a nice change, especially if you can worm them in the oven for a few minutes.
6) And liven toast up with marmalade, jam, marmite, or chesse (pref melted) (nice with a splash of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce).

I make porridge, with "Old Fashioned" (i.e. not processed) oats. Use about a cup, with water and splenda - nuke for 2:30 on full, then grab a pot of fat-free fruit yoghurt and mix it in.
Usually have this around 7am...Fills me up for bloody ages (Well past 12 O'Clock) and takes about 3 mins from start to finish.
