I don't have a face book account but I can't see this as working in this country, and am worried that the Aussies seem to think it is alright.
How the hell are you supposed to know if you have been served if you don't log in? Even then it might be weeks after service!
I can only assume that activity on the account after the time of service has been ruled to be indicative of acknowledgement of service.
