Looking to renew the insurance on my VX220 and the current insurers don't include any trackday cover.

I've tried Heritage & HIC so far but am looking for some more quotes as a comparison.

They also need to be mod-friendly (wheels, exhaust, suspension).

Any recommendations?

try richard eggar insurance or competition car insurance - they will do you a road policy which includes 4 track days. Extrra track days will only cost you about £50. Should be very reasonable too on your car.

I highly recommend Matt Taylor @ Henderson Taylor on 0161 437 7442.

He only deals with High Performance/Classic Car insurance - covers my s/c Honda Exige & Clio 197 Cup

yes Another recommendation for Richard Egger. Speak to Steve Hallam if you can.

Aon Insurance, for our MX5 club, cover up to 5 track days per year, at no extra cost, you could give them a try.

Thank you Sir! One came in at a smidge over £500 and the other at £460-odd, which was mile better than the Heritage quote biggrin

Even better is that 1 of the days can be European clap

Only problem is that the cheaper one has double the on-track Excess of the other (£2000 vs. £1000). Probably worth paying the extra £40 I'd say.

Edited to correct dodgy maths

Well, I wouldn't exactly call a VX220 high performance!

Gave them a call but got the answerphone - will try again later.

But for some reason they only cover Sessioned Days but Not OPL.

So a Sunday 'Deathzone' day at Donny, or an 'Action Day' at Combe are covered whilst a nice quiet mid-week OPL day at say *********** is not!!!

Called Aon, got passed around a bit and ultimately put through to Footman James who have (apparently) taken on all the new Aon business and don't cover trackdays rolleyes
