gearbox engine combinations

Hi
I own a DOHC sapphire it feels tiered and the handleing isnt great I have checked all the bushes and they are solid but I intend to replace all of the bushes it gets used on track for most of the time it gets driven I intend to replace all the bushes with nylon I know that it will give a very harsh ride will it make a dramatic difference to the feel of the car ? or would i be better of with polybushes ?

any help would be great

my little xr2i is full poly bushed and the ride is very hard possibly something to do with that it is very low but the ride is very harsh but they do make handling better or at least i think they make it handle better

thanks is it uncomfortable after a 20min drive ?
I think that the nylon bushes will be my choice because I can make them useing a lathe and not have to pay £100 plus
