Chaps, posted on here rather than in the MINI forum as we don't need a MINI dealer. Have posted in GG, but reckon someone here may be better placed to help out.

Girlfriend's car is a MINI Copper, but lacking the Cooper stripes. The dealer quoted 400 quid to put them on, which is extortionate.

I'd like them to be removable vinyl so that they can be changed in the future. Does anyone have any recomendations for people that will do this, in either the South London, Marlow area - or God forbid even come to my house and do it while I make them a cup of tea.

Any help appreciated. I know I could buy a kit and do them myself, but I would rather have someone experienced do it, particularly as I do not have time to be away from work.

So any companies/individuals I can get quotes from would be appreciated. Thanks,

Harry.

3 pages of results for a yell.com search for "signwriters" in "South London". I'd suggest ringing a few that mention they do vehicle graphics on their listing, and asking after cooper stripes...

Alternatively, fitting stripes to a panel like a Mini bonnet is DIY'able if you're not too ham-fisted... if you can source the stripes (ebay?) you'd need some masking tape, panel degreaser, a squeegee and some patience... loads of FAQ's and YouTube-y how-to videos out there.

Best of luck!

There is a member on mx5nutz who produces and fits vinyls, including stipes, as a hobby and charges next to nothing, if you want to tap him up his name is 'shadowchaser' and is not too far from south London.

Creative FX put my stripes on my touring, charged me £40 just to fit, would be cheaper to fit shorter cooper stripes like a mini has.

Creative FX are based in Bromley http://www.fxuk.net/ but im sure you could find another similar place local to you.

The full length Hartge stipes I have are more intricate than cooper stripes and cost £70 to make up and post to me from another graphic place that copied them from an original set. I would think that you could easily get them done for less than £100
