Have you unknowingly used a 'dodgy 'Advocate ?

I have used two, both were very accommodating Solicitors and I used them both for 15-20 years, the first was allegedly convicted of embezzling the company funds, and served a custodial sentence, I then had to find another solicitor but after 15 years of good service he allegedly took part in a mortgage fraud and was also given a custodial sentence, both were in the local newspaper.

I have also witnessed an advocate forge a signature on a contract many years ago!

A QC I know once told me that " the most corrupt sections of society are Solicitors and Policemen in that order"

Not myself, but my uncle built up a successful accountants partnership. They knew and worked with each other for over 25 years, then the partner ripped off everything and everyone on the books and fled. My uncle was left to file for bankruptcy and that's pretty much all that's happened of it.

Nope. I have knowingly used one however. Thing about a bent solicitor is they will write stuff just as you want even though they know its total bks.

Or 'excepted', as in not dodgy?

I think you meant to use 'excepted', but have an average grasp of the English language

Yes, the first solicitor allegedly embezzeled so much of the Practice cash that it had to go into Liquidation

A young Inspector very local to me, who grew up in the area, has always been known as one of the biggest users of disco biscuits around, and his sister was known as one of the biggest purveyors.

Strangley never busted...

I meant "accepted" as being honest/ok, think it's you who need to grasp the English Language? I am 63 but still have most of my brain cells. (I think)

What you meant to say, whether you appreciate it or not, is that advocates on this board are 'excepted' from your general accusation.
