Holiday 1st/2nd of January.....where to go

Need ideas for winter sun.

Did Sri Lanka last year.

Dont want to be on a plane for more than 6 hours if poss.

Cape Verde had been suggested..Can anyone reccommend a hotel there, or suggest another location.

Need to see the sun.

Have been to Goa, cyprus not hot enough.

Please help, i need to book tonight.
