Recommend me some surround speakers (just rear channel)

Can someone give me a few options as something semi decent to replace my cr@p surround speakers. I'm just after a pair for the rear channel.
I've no idea what a reasonable pair would cost but anything over £100 would be frivolous to say the least.

Amp is a Marantz, front's are Mordaunt Shorts, sorry mate what's "sub sat"?.

They need to blend in and not annoy the misses, on stands would be better too.

Don't know mate. How fussy are you on the sound? Might be worth getting a new package as it may be difficult to match the sound? Can highly recommend the Jamo's I have if you're after home cinema on a budget.

They look identical to my Gale 3060B's - worth a search. Got mine from Richer Sounds, for not much money.

If you can deal with the looks, DEFFO choose dipoles. Surrounds are much more convincing when you use em (esp. when you have to have them behind you).

Keeping the same brand is a good call, as it'll all match nicely (i.e behave the same when the volume changes, etc).

those MS's look like agood bet, if the moeny is right.

Despite their somewhat cheap looks (please don't take offence) I'm a real fan of the MS25i and MS20i Pearls. For a while I had a pair of very pretty Mission 780's that I have no doubt many a reviewer would place above the MS20/25i's. My dad has the MS25i's and once while the Missions were off for repair I got to have a play - much more enjoyable, detailed, relaxed and easy to listen to in comparison.

IMO your best bet is to get hold of another set of MS20i's off ebay (go for next to nothing). The newer Mordant Short speakers are unlikely to bear any resemblance sonically to your current speakers. Even better, get hold of some MS25i's for the fronts and use your MS20's as rears.

Only problem is they are a bit big for rears, not in my opinion, the wife's. Will keep an eye on those bipoles anyway.

Your question is confusing.

Is this a 5.1 array or a 7.1 array?

If its the former you're looking for surrounds (5.1 doesnt have rears)

If its the latter then are you looking for surrounds or surround rears?

Yes mate. Room is rectangular with front speaker at each corner of long axis and "surrounds" :-) in back.

Tv is a bit off centre but i can sit bang in the middle of the room pretty much.

U reckon those ebay bipoles will be any good?

If the Surrounds are behind you and cant be moved to where they should be then discount bipoles.

You'll get better performance with monopoles.
