Foreign Buyers

Can someone please explain to me why we can't make anything work in this country? Now hearing about the Royal Mail joining a long list of companies that are no longer British, they all seem to be owned by foreign companies, I mean the list includes power companies, banks, airports etc, is it that we can't make them work, or do we make them work that well that they are attractive to overseas buyers?

Hell even the football clubs are no longer English.

And just who do we have to upset enough for them to decide to completely shut the country down at a click of the fingers?

The UK economy is extremely open and doesn't put artificial any trade barriers in the way.
Unfortunately this isn't reciprocated everywhere and as a result the UK is getting shafted TBH. I expect the Gov't would just nationalise any company that tried to act against our national interests. One would hope
