"We're going to have to work very very hard on fixing prices, er. er...... I mean to get back on an even keel"....

If Virgin are fxxxed, does this mean they have to change their name now...?

Smarmy bd was funded by his mum in early life, including a massive bailout after Customs & Excise caught him undergoing a huge VAT fraud. Silver spoon.

I was just thinking this morning I hadn't seen that smarmy ste on the tele looking for the latest news story to get some free publicity out of.
And he's a terrible speaker. Can't say two sentance without stuttering his words. So there!

hehe

Love the guy saying "well, he's basically saying what everyone else is thinking"

Perhaps he's a little rattled that his group signed up to guarantee Zavvi's debt which I think is £106m for Woolworth alone!

Getting a bit bored of the media presenting people who actually need not worry about the current situation, offering 'us' advice.

"We" need to work hard? Oh, right, thanks for that. Easy for someone with an estimated wealth of 4.4billion to offer advice to me. Best pull my socks up and start working harder then...

So you think he really said "the economy's f-f-f-f-fked"?

I think that goes to show that Branson is feeling his age now, He's made his money and now he's reached the point where he's winding down, his attitude says it all.

No beef with the Branson though, fair play!

Look - its an alien space ship coming into land....

Now, grab the money while no one is looking and blame it on someone else. That will work!

Anybody read the comments at the bottom of the page yet?

"The majority of us are up to our necks in dept, and this will take a hell of long time before we can all get straight again."

and

"The nice part about it is that we have brought this upon ourselves because of our greed."

Well excuse me!! What's this "we" business?!

Well, after reading Sir Dick's autobiography, a lot of his businesses were based on the rather shaky management of debt, hence why he had to sell off the original parts of his business when he hit hard times and the banks pulled his overdraft.

Personally, it was an inspiring read, which mainly told me that no matter how cuddly you want your personal persona to be, you still have to be a ruthless b*stard, stitch up everyone you have worked with at some point, and have a huge brass neck to get on as a successful entrepreneur like he is. Not entirely admirable in my eyes.

My ex was the grand daughter of the guy who started virgin airways with branson, branson completely screwed him over and left him pennyless, then had the afront to send a huge wreath to his funeral, which was quickly disposed of.

So do you think children of rich people shouldn't receive NHS training? What should be the cut off for training be billions, millions or £200,000?

Didn't take you for the socialist, Tonker. biggrin

hehe I'm just not sure I can be bothered this afternoon. Some people are just too blind to see what's gone on. (Mainly because they walk everywhere with their heads in the Daily Mail of course)
