Was browsing pistonheads news section, and this managed to offend my eye:

Have a look at that reflection for a few seconds- its just not right! - surely youd see the offside rear wheel in the reflection. In fact, why cant I see any shadow or underside of the car, underneath the car in the reflection?

its just been flipped, and badly shopped. Its bad enough that everyone seems to be doing the reflection effect in press shots these days, but at least do it properly

It annoys me that a graphic designer has been paid for this somewhere! I could do a better job with both hands behind my back, and just using my foot to control the mouse!

and this one too:

this could have worked, but the reflection isnt at the right angle at all.

Am I being overly harsh? It just seems there is a lot of bad photoshoppery out there

I can't see anything obvious in the top one - the reason you can't see much underneath is probably because it's dark.

However the reflection on the lower one is 'plane' wrong!

First one has quite a lot wrong with it.. Half the car is missing in the reflection, invisible trees reflected in windows, no vertical black line through front windscreen, back rear wheel is in mid-air. Absolutely shocking hehe

Geez a job PH wavey

Not sure if I'm getting this, or if the original poster isn't getting it: they've just used a bit of artistic licence to create the "reflection" they wanted.

Doesn't have to look real, the car is about fantasy, image, whatever...

Am I the only one who thinks it looks good (well both pics actually)?

If I had to criticise at all I'd say play down the reflections more so the car just stands out on its own.

Mind you, it's a bit plain, saw 7 of 'em in Asda's car park earlier...
