Home diagnosis or at dealer? Recommend nr Gerrards Cross?

Hi all,

My M3 had broken down at home and I was wondering if it is generally possible to have a mechanic travel to my home and do a diagnostic. I spoke to BMW Sytner High Wycombe who told me that they don't do that. They need the car delivered to them to do a diagnostic.

Getting the diagnostic done at my place would make it easier to phone around to get other quotes before getting the car delivered anywhere.

Also, can anyone recommend a decent non BMW dealership who would be able to do work on an M3 (I think it might be a clutch related issue) and is based near Gerrards Cross in Bucks?
