Saw a red (maroon?) van on a motorway bridge over the M23 yesterday about 5ish.

I was doing 90. It looked harmless until I asked myself the question what else would it be doing there?

I braked hard but I reckon he will have got me if it was a scam van.

1) Are there any unmarked scamera vans?

2) Is there a way of telling?

3) Bastards.

Pretty much. Went past one with a logo on it about the size of a saucer on the side.

2) Is there a way of telling?
Either wait 14 days or get a jammer. no other way unless the van doors or windows were closed.

3) Bastards.

I see vans & cars on motorway bridges all the time. Most of them aren't scamera vans (I know what the local ones look like) so I guess you're safe.

I always ask myself the question though, what makes a sad git park his car on a motorway bridge? Do they actually enjoy watching the traffic?

His windows and doors were closed.

On the A38 towards Plymouth these is some git in an rapid response ambulance that sits in the middle of the bridge. The car has the checks on the side that make it look for all the world like a trafpol car. Had a few buttock clentching moments due to this git getting his kicks.

Such is the paranoia of safe motorists now that we're having to panic brake for all sorts of funny looking vans parked about the place.

What a way to run a "road safety" policy.
