Hi Guys

Can anyone tell me what the 2006 facelift involved on the Range Rover? I'm looking at a 2005/6 Range Rover Supercharged and the ads are at pains to point out whether it's a 2006 model or not. Can anyone tell me what the differences are? (because the ads don't!)

Many thanks

Jason

After buying my RR earlier this year, I found that the main noticeable difference on the 06 model is the dashboard shape. Later cars have the sat nav screen mounted slightly lower and 2 air vents above the screen in addition to the 2 below. Earlier models just have the 2 vents below the screen. The ignition key location changed to the dash rather than by the gearstick. These later models also have the terrain response dial as opposed to the older model that had the toggles for Hill descent control and high/low box. When I was looking at supercharged models I found that whilst they all had the brembo brakes, some 05/06 models had the older dash and some had the new. Not too sure on the mechanical changes on the 06 model though.spin

If the later ones had the terrain response, I think they also probably had the locking rear e-diff

I think the Supercharged was only introduced as the '06 model year although the realease date was mid '05. The main changes since then came with the '07 model where you got a redesigned dashboard, different seats, laminated side glazing and various other minor changes. You can easily spot these by the electronic handbrake instead of the traditional lever.
