I was walking home yesterday and observing the vast amount of restaurants looking rather empty - I know 8pm isn't representative of their busiest time but it got me thinking.....

Do you think that restaurants are watching their pennies and potentially skimping on food by retaining fresh food / meat for longer than they would normally in a Gordon Ramsay style Kitchen Nightmare......

And if they were, other than the Food Standards / hygeine Agency, would they even get caught?

You gotta wonder.......I know bars have been watering down spirits for years but I wonder what restaurants do to cut corners.....

My Ex is a head chef and that would never happen. Good chefs know how to manage their GP and make good use of any wastage, plus also able to predict well what they will need each night.

I did see a sign up yesterday at a restaurant though.. "credit crunch munch" made me snigger.
