Simon Pegg as Scotty though? That's got to end in tears. What are they thinking? I expect he's there as a comedy character but I hope he doesn't ruin it.

It'll either be very good, or very bad, but then even a bad star trek film is normally a decent film (with the possible exception of ST:TMP and ST V: The final frontier)

According to a reviewers who have seen extended sequences they are saying its going to be very good. And anyway how can a movie be bad when the lead character drives a 60's Corvette in the future?? Cmon!!!

+1 after watching Heros last night, both BBC2 and BBC7 (i dunno the channel) he is excellent, should excel there!
