So what do you actually do all day at work??

Some of us have job titles, often very grand. I attend meetings with great desciptions too. e.g. Global Quality Assurance. Fact of the matter is that what I really do is email and conference calls. I couldn't point to more than 10-20% of my hours in a week that are truly productive. Such as working with clients, making money, that sort of thing. The rest is just waffle and repetition.

Spend around 1.5hrs of the day on PH. Rest of it involves arranging/attending and scheduling events, conferences, courses, catering and sourcing venues and speakers for future events. Lots of paperwork but takes up my day. Also get free gym membership and free lunch so that keeps me here! 
Currently on a retainer to keep me available to start a project in the New Year - the only stipulation is that I don't work for anyone else and that I do at least 3 days a week at HQ where I'm to be in by 8am and leave no earlier than 5pm.
Hence I'm on the internet 8-9 hours a day - though not all on PH

Recently i have headed up the operations at the millenium stadium, making sure we keep up our end of the contract.
I've spent alot of time on a book we have just published, from assigning the ISBN number, setting up accounts with distributers and retailers as well as dealing with the promotion side of it.
Considering i started here as an advertising sales exec i dont think i've done too badly.

There are some weird people out there - your MSN clients that is, not you!

I answer the phone and pass calls over to account managers.
I type up and e-mail a few invoices.
I deal with customer complaints by phone/e-mail.
I upload information onto our database.
I do odd-jobs for managers, such as audio-typing & event posters.
I print off database invoices at the end of the day, post one copy to the client, and attach the other to the account manager's order form and file them.
Bundled up in one, all this would take me 2 hours maximum. Instead I'm here 8:30-5:00 and spend the majority of it on the Pie & Piston trying not to fall asleep at my desk...
