... for a 400bhp Ultima?

Has anyone tried 295's on the back?

Yo Scott I am running 295 30 18 on the rear and 245 35 18 front, of the GTR and there is quite a differance ie the car goes where you point it yet the Can-Am which has the wider tyres front and rear tends to tramline a bit and follow the undulations in the road. There again I do tend to go a bit quicker in the GTR as I am afraid of messing my hair up in the Can-Am biggrin

Well... have have fitted a pair of 295 GoodYear Eagle F1's to my 18" Dymag (not CF.. just magnesium frown ) wheels and the weight is 21kg per corner!

That's 4kg per corner less than my previous 315 BF Goodrich's on 17" Image wheels. Quite pleased!

There's only a half kilo saving on each of the fronts, but that's still not bad when you consider it was only 16" rims up front before!

Happy to have shed 9kg of unsprung weight!

Means I can eat more at Xmas! smile

You will find there is quite a bit of weight difference between differing Tyres of the same size...

Are the Dymag wheels the same widths as the Ultima wheels?

295/30 tire in general have a max recommended rim width of 11", so on a 13" rim will have severe tread cupping to strecth the sidewalls out far enough. The correct tire for the 13" factory rear width would be a 335/30, maybe you could get away with a 315 width but I wouldn't go any less than that.
