I've been re trimming my interior http://www.pistonheads.com/xforums/topic.asp?h=0&a... over the last couple of months and was going to get new carpets online, but the guy who trimmed my seats said to let him do it, in my colours that I wanted, for only £250 and if I didn't like it it would be free.

The guys done good, his name is Phil Silk from Newbury, been trimming Hot Rods and VW stuff for years and the fit is perfect. I've only done the drivers side so far but have a look, gotta be a £100 saving from the others that advertise! Needs a good hoover though.

I've kept my old carpet so I could drop that off to him, Phil's a real genuine top guy , search Phil Silk trimmer on google and you'll find his number( ive got his number but it's in my car and it's cold outside!) the edging is done in a vinal that matched my Alcantara perfect.

Nice Job - Carpets are the next on my list of things-2-do. Can you tell me how you got the centre console off? I know how it's secured at the back, it's the front fixings that I need to know how to remove. Thanks

You're welcome - feel free to mail me if you get stuck. I think the only thing I didnt make clear there is that I actulay had to unbolt the handbrake lever from the transmission tunnel to get the console over it. It only just wouldnt go without so yours may be no trouble.
