You know the problem with the product? Its made by Sony. Now if it was called iRolly and made by Apple it would sell by the bucket load.

And even I must admit I am totally missing the point with what this is supposed to be.

And I was gobsmacked when I saw some turn up in the staff shop at £192 a pop and realised they were so small.

All the pictures I'd seen had made me think they were some kind of shelf speaker/player thing, not some weird little MP3 player with wings.

I think it's fair to say that these probably won't be around too long, unless of course the 'yoof' suddenyl decide they are the latest greatest thing.

But even the video linked to above (which is shot in such a way as to make actually seeing what the Rolly does almost impossible) makes the 'yoofs' dancing around it look like a bunch of sad loosers.

Oh dear... just one of those products that got passed the bad ideas police I guess.

saw these in america when i was out there last summer.

They are pretty cool little gadgets....and sound quality isnt too bad.

But, not sure Id pay that much for one.

It looks like the sound is good for the size, but when the ear/flap things close when it is doing its stuff then the sound is ste, therefore whats the point? - Unless you can set it so its ears are constantly open... but then what's the point?

Could it be the start of a cult, or would you need to be a cult to buy one?
