When Skynet firsts becomes self aware... is that on Judgement Day itself? If not what is that day or event called?!

Isn't Judgement Day a few weeks or months later?

Judgement Day is when the nukes go off.

That happens when Skynet becomes self-aware, which is a few weeks after they switch it on.

I thought it fired the nukes shortly after becoming self aware (like days/ hours/ minutes even).

No it isn't, it's T2.

The Terminator doesn't speak in T1 and it certainly wouldn't have a frank conversation with Sarah Connor

But the chip was developed my Miles Bennet-Dyson, from the original chip found from the wreck of the first terminator.

So no first terminator = no chip
