Ipod with Comand

I recently bought an S class with Comand, it has no CD changer or TV but has an Ipod kit in the glove box, does anyone know to select or use the Ipod?

Is it the cuurent shape? If so go to the audio menu at the top and select the aux option.

Not sure about your S-class, but for most it is worth bearing in mind that the you control the iPod using the steering wheel controls and the track info, etc only appear on the instrument panel and not the Comand display ....

Its a S500 W220 and it dosnt seem to have an Aux option.

being a complete numpty, where is an ipod connector or similar if it is there?

Unless it is a dealer (or specialist) fit accessory, the aux (ipod) connection is a 2.5mm jack connection in the glovebox. If you use this is does not give you the ability to control the ipod/MP3 player via the MFSW controls.

I think if you go into the system menu on the Comand screen, there should be an aux option in there.

Mystery solved, the cables from the glove box terminate behind the comand unit but are not connected to anything?
