White Box = Refurb?
Discussion
I have no hesitation buying refurbished, based on several decades of experience with a big variety of different products and sellers. I really can't see much point buying at full retail, although I would like to be able to afford all the bells and whistles of the most up to date top of the range gear. If I was in that position I'd buy a more recent car with the manufacturer's own SatNav. On the other hand, though, I would almost certainly feel cheated by paying over the top for a marginal improvement over last month's product.
Over the past few years I've bought a couple of great refurbished SatNav bargains from a company called TotalPDA up in Scotland. My most recent was a TomTom Go910 with maps of Western Europe, last summer. It took us very efficiently to the Ducati factory in Bologna, to Imola and Missano race tracks, and back to London, with no speeding tickets.
