Cheese Straws and Fruit cake
Discussion
No not combined
I'm in the US, I googled some recipes for cheese straws but they did not turn out as expected. American recipe maybe.
I just need M & S type no need for Fortnum And Masons
Fruit Cake. In UK it is/was much easier just to buy one as it cost more to make it. However fruit cake in the US is not the same, even from Brit stores.
I need a recipe for a rich dark fruit cake similar to that served at a wedding.
Links to reliable websites are fine.

It's the Hairy Bakers version I'll be making this year (minus celery seeds as didn't make an effort to find them)

Made the Hairy Biker's ones but used Proscuitto Ham instead of parma (I swear it's what they used on their last TV prog instead of Parma) and they work a treat - did 2 batches and discovered the fan oven a tad too efficient and had to knock off 10 mins cooking time!
I'm in New Jersey so Procuitto is plentiful (lots of Italians). The oven is currently on...my pork pies are in, I have to make them as not available here.
Glazed Ham is sitting ready to go in, Cheese straws will follow.
My kitchen is a mess

Cheers
